I attended medical school at the University of California, San Francisco, where I conducted research on how students navigate pregnancy and parenting during undergraduate medical training.
I chose to become a Family Physician because I dearest taking care of patients at all ages and stages of life, and have particular interests in: obstetrics, addiction medicine, and palliative care. Every bit a lifelong conservationist, I try to sympathise the habitats my patients inhabit and how these bear upon their opportunities for health and wellbeing. Outside of the clinic, I stay busy biking, paddling, and questing for broiled goods with my husband and kids.

Charles Randolph, Md, is a family medicine physician at Valley Family Medicine. He grew up in Washington state, but attended higher and medical school in Southern California at Loma Linda University. He is passionate nearly full-spectrum medicine, and has specific interests in global wellness, cantankerous-cultural medicine, rural obstetrics, and improving medical education. He is currently pursuing a certification in tropical medicine and hopes to somewhen practice medicine overseas.

Maryam Sabetian, Md, is a family medicine physician at Valley Family unit Medicine. She was built-in in Iran and lived there until the age of x. I grew upward in Aurora, Illinois merely moved to Bellevue, Washington during eye school. My interest in family medicine started as a kid when I realized my family medicine doctor gave me a lollipop afterward every visit. My want to pursue the medical field was solidified after I encountered the lack of access to healthcare in the setting of immense poverty while visiting family in China and realizing that communities at home also suffered from the same disparities. I graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a degree in Physiology and spent 2 gap years doing research on the epigenetics of kidney affliction, scribing and volunteering. I was fortunate to attend University of Washington Medical School where in that location was special focus placed on the importance of primary care.
Through the WWAMI program, I was able to experience the breadth of family medicine from rural to urban and found that I peculiarly enjoyed full spectrum care. I decided to pursue family medicine because I valued longitudinal relationships with patients, and I seemed to like to do a flake of everything. I am peculiarly passionate nearly preventative medicine, women'due south health, obstetrics and working with communities who have been left behind by our healthcare system.
I am so excited to be a part of the Valley Family unit Medicine Residency Plan and look forwards to learning from everyone how we can best serve our community. I grew up in the busy city of Saigon, where I was surrounded past motorbikes, delicious food - street and homemade - and small, hidden neighborhoods with a vibe not unlike the small provincial town in Beauty and the Beast. I attended UCLA, where I studied psychobiology, with minors in Early Childhood Education and Asian American Studies. Later on college, I completed a year of AmeriCorps service at Roxhill Elementary in SW Seattle, alongside a team of superhumans who challenged me to work hard, dream bravely, and advocate for others. I was welcomed into a love customs, who continued to nurture and help me find my abode in the PNW. Attending medical school in Arizona, I had the fortune to work on the Navajo reservation, which truly opened my optics to community-based primary care and rural medicine. I became especially interested in wellness inequity, geriatric intendance, women'south health, and obstetrics. The comprehensive, community-based training with accent on obstetrics drew me to Valley Family Medicine, every bit I hope to continue on to full-spectrum practice in the future.

I originally thought that I would become a teacher, an engineer, or a zoologist, before I realized I could satisfy all of my passions within medicine. I studied Biochemistry at Indiana University, in Bloomington, before attending IU School of Medicine, where I barbarous in love with family unit medicine considering of its emphasis on comprehensive, well-rounded patient care, variety, and long-term patient-provider relationships.
I beloved meeting new people, solving challenging issues, and being conscious about making the world a fiddling better than it was, so I feel incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to do all that every day, and especially to be able to practise information technology in the cute and unique Pacific Northwest! I'chiliad especially interested in caring for patients of all ages, including pediatric and palliative care, as well as point-of-care ultrasound and global medicine, and I nonetheless aim to contain teaching and mentorship into my daily and futurity practice.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time with my fiancée, Deb, no matter what we do! Yilin Zhang, Dr. is a lath-certified internal medicine md with a special interest in medical pedagogy and care for patients with circuitous chronic diseases such as cease-phase liver illness and solid organ transplant. She received her Bachelors of Scientific discipline in biology from Duke Academy and a medical doctoral degree from Academy of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She completed her internship and residency grooming in internal medicine at University of Washington. She worked as an academic hospitalist in full general internal medicine at the Academy of Washington Medical Middle (UWMC) from 2016 - 2020. While on faculty at UWMC, she was involved in clinical instruction for the internal medicine residency program and the School of Medicine. This included the evolution of an online medical education website, teachIM.org. She is currently the clinical coordinator of inpatient medicine for the family medicine residency at Valley Medical Eye.
Dr. Zhang's interests outside of medicine including spending time with her husband and young daughter. She enjoys running, cooking, tennis, and traveling
